Did some shopping for the rest of my winter gears today. Why are things so expensive?
Our total bill came up to almost RM 500… and it was for only 13 items. o.O Shit! We got 2 pairs of thermal wear/thermal underwear/long johns (banyak-nye nama), 2 masks, 3 pairs of gloves, and 4 pairs of woolen socks, and 2 sets of woolen beanie and scarf.
The beanie + scarf set was on sale, which means lack of colors to choose from. Else I would have gotten something nicer 🙁 Mine’s a baby blue knit with some pink and white in it. The S.O’s set is a lighter shade of green. =.=” I guess at this point we’ll have to forgo all fashion styles cos everything is so mismatched. Haha… Even my gloves. I find it weird that it’s a mix of 2 colors rather than it being 1 color. Wanted to get the leather gloves, but the sales person advised us against it since it wasn’t fitted. But it looked so nice. 🙁
We got all our gear (except jackets) from Kok Kong winter wear @ Jalan Loke Yew. Nice big place. Another suggested place was P. Lal @ Jalan TAR, but I don’t know if it’s still around. Apparently it’s near the bigger Kamdar. Don’t remember seeing that shop the last time I was in KL, so we didn’t want to risk it.
After that we headed over to the Curve to look for my “leggings lady”. But we noticed there were less stalls than usual, and she wasn’t there. 🙁 So I’ll probably try the pasar malam cos I need leggings too! Bought new sports shoes. Hope they’ll be comfy enough for all the walking I’ll be doing. I just found out that we’re leaving for the airport on the 16th Dec @ 11pm. o.O Flight’s at 0140. I don’t think I’ll be doing any sleeping.
Countdown to China trip – 18 days!
I need to buy the cotton winter shirt and pants for women. Please give me your price and contact number and address.
The size : XXL
Hi Nikko,
Kok Kong winter wear is located at No. 170, Jalan Loke Yew, 55200 K.L. Their contact number is 03- 9221 9311. Alternatively, check out their website @ http://www.kokkong.com.
They have 2 types of thermal wear; thin and thick. The one I got (thick) costs RM 80 and it’s a set of shirt & pants. It’s the same price for both men and women.
Hope this helps. 🙂
